Of course you want to make money from your book sales. You alsowant free book marketing if possible. Ask yourself, “Is my bookmarketing plan working?” Your online audience wants information from you. That’s why they visit high traffic web sites related to their interest area. With that in mind, know that writing and submitting articles is the number one Online publicity and
promotion game around.

You already know that a high ranked web site with a lot of
content keeps pulling your visitors back for more information.
Something you may not know is that these sites that rank in the
top 50 will be better ones to submit your articles to than on
your own web site, because Google sees them as more legitimate
than your lower-ranked site. But, when you submit to these high
traffic sites, you’ll pull your target audience right to your
site where you sell your books and services.

So, stay consistent with this game.

I. Market Target Market with Writing and Submitting Articles to
High Traffic Sites and Blogs

1. Write 5-10 how to, well-edited articles with 3-4 long tailed,
low competition key words your audience will appreciate.

2. Leverage one article too many aimed at audiences and focuses.

3. Gather 1-5 top web site addresses (URLs) that are in the top
20 high traffic URLs.

4. Take an article marketing course or read a book to learn
about hot key word phrases updates and know what makes online
success for non-techies.

5. Write and submit 2-5 articles each week to your favorite blog
and directory. It’s free.

6. Delegate to an assistant to multiply results exponentially.

7. Discuss with your webmaster how to keep track of your
progress and success.

8. Set a $number goal for 6 months.

II. Submit Articles to an Article Marketing Blog

While you can create your blog remember you must market it big
time. And, you won’t get the subscribers that the high-traffic
blogs do. One client has 200 subscribers when she could have
thousands who already visit ezinearticles.com or hubpages.com to
see the latest in good information in their chosen category.

There, be sure to interact with the community to fulfill Web 2.0
application. It’s friendly, useful, and will bring you fans
that can become customers. They will see you as the savvy expert
who can help them go forward.

III. Press Release Announcing May not Be Right or Get to the
Right Person

Early on, I used to send 150 press releases to all of the San
Diego newspapers and TV stations. While I did get a few feature
stories and made great income from new clients and book buyers,
it was a lot of work with minor payoffs. Give your audience what
they want–tips and how to’s in your press release-sort of like
an article. If you do, they are more likely to publish it. I’ve
just begun using prweb to test the waters.

IV. Book Signings May Work

If you love to speak and can speak well, by all means get out
and share the good news. You may not get paid to speak, but
selling at the back of the room can reward you. Your target
audience will like what they experience and use your business.
The catch? Make sure you schedule 6 talks a month to get the
maximum visibility and sales you want. This is more work than
online marketing.

What Better Visibility Than the Web?

Like me, you just have to accept that the internet is here to
stay. Get help if you need it. Hire a techie assistant from you
high school or from Craig’s List. With delegation, you’ll gain
profits 20-30 times the cost of your virtual assistant. For 20
hours a month at $12an hour month, you can get four times or
more your investment.

Spend your marketing and promotion time on what works. What is
easiest and fun. You want to spend time on doing what you can
from your home office to reach your targeted audience Online who
want and need your great information.
